Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern Indiana, Inc.
(CCCS) has been in operation since 1965. Established in Fort Wayne to serve all of Northeastern Indiana, CCCS has helped thousands of individuals and families to gain control of their finances through confidential counseling, and education.
CCCS provides free financial counseling and financial literacy education; Debt Management Programs; US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved comprehensive housing counseling services; and US Department of Justice approved bankruptcy counseling and education. CONSUMER CREDIT COUNSELING SERVICE IS DEDICATED TO ENHANCING THE FINANCIAL WELL-BEING OF THE COMMUNITY AND OF INDIVIDUAL CONSUMERS BY PROMOTING SOUND MONEY MANAGEMENT.
Anyone can come to CCCS. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, yet they are commonly burdened with financial struggles. Some clients are contemplating bankruptcy and are overwhelmed by late notices, collection calls and threats of legal action. Others are just seeking unbiased money management counsel.
CCCS is a not for profit free standing corporation; a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC); is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children; and a member of the Better Business Bureau of Northeastern Indiana. CCCS is governed by a volunteer community board of directors. CCCS consistently receives referrals from the 2-1-1 database, creditors, former clients, clergy, employers and social service agencies.
In 2010 Consumer Credit Counseling Service of N.E. Indiana Inc., served over 5,000 people that requested help with their financial difficulties.
