It’s all out there waiting for you….
On my way into work, I read a quote on New Haven Print & Copy’s outdoor reader board with these words, “You were born an original. Don’t die a copy.”
Actually, I’ve read it several times on my way to work and have given a lot of thought to what it means. Often people go through life pleasing others, doing what others want, and denying their own special talents. I challenge you in the New Year: Write a “Bucket List” of things you wish to accomplish in 2011 and then move forward. Remember to tailor it to what you want to accomplish, not what others expect of you. It doesn’t have to be grandiose. In fact, don’t get ahead of yourself. If you accomplish all that you set out to do, then write “Bucket List Part II” halfway through the year.
Turn off the TV and get going. The best time to begin is now, because it is the only time you are guaranteed!
Happy Holidays!
